Torrent file size help!

Hello friends! Well I have a limited connection plan now i.e 7 GB. i want to download a file for 1 GB from torrentz but then lot of limit will be wasted i.e 1 GB. Is there a way by which I can resize the file and make it small and then download?

I know how to make the files small after downloading , but I don't know how to make them small before downloading.

You can't make the file size small. One alternative is to look for the torrent file which has small size or has already been archived (in .rar fomat)..
Usually many torrents have several rar files. You have to extract them manually. You should probably those type of files.
