Science vs. God

i think this is the most controversial subject ever to be discussed...

I am neutral..I believe that God is scientific.

P.S>I think this matter is somewhat political so i have posted this thread here.

You have the same thought as mine. I'm on both side. There is a power which is controlling us and th whole universe whose name which we have given it as GOD.

Well this really is a tough one. But maybe I'm more towards God.

god made this world what it is and made it so that it follows rules so it can run itself without any help. These rules are what we know as science

This is not a simple question...

Gods and religions are made by humans..
Even I can make a new religion and new gods and make some stupid ppl to follow it.. In future it will spread and make it as truth..

Science is not advanced to explain everything.. So we cannot compare science with God..

We learn from what our parents, teachers and friends tell us and we are forced to accept it as true until we find real truth in future..
For eg: Who invented electric bulb?
Normally everyone will say answer Edison.. If I tell it is false then everyone will argue with me.. But the real truth is tht Humphry davy and swan invented it..
I know its not easy to contradict religion & gods.. When galileo told earth is sphere and it revolve around sun then he was sentenced to prison.. Now we all knw what he told is true..

For answering this question we need to study how god was created..
At first humans used to worship natural things like thunder, fire, rain, sun, wind, water etc.. Such things are mysterious those time.. Later civilizations came.. There are be some group of people who are called scholars.. They were supposed to know answers for all questions.. If they couldn't know answer of any questions then others will not respect them.. For every unanswerable questions there will be only one answer from them that is GOD.. For eg: Who created humans, animals and universe..
Later People started asking about god.. how does god look like.. what is name of god.. etc

Many people like buddha, mahavira, etc tried to find truth about god.. They found that and told ppl about it.. But normal humans cudn't understand that theory easily.. They created new religions and worshiped them..

God is inside us.. Only thing is that u need to understand that..

First we need to understand about ourselves.. We all have abilities which we are not aware of.. If you have played rpg games then it it will be easy to understand.. If we put less point to some attribute (like strength) then we get more points to use in other (like dexterity).. Don't get confused if u never played rpg games..
If you are blind then u have more hearing capability than normal person.. Becuz body get adjusted automatically.. But we can train it if we want.. Same like we train our skills... There are lots of other senses (like predicting future) which we are not aware of..
Normal human doesn't have mch reflex.. But a sport person like tennis player or cricketer have high reflex.. It is attained through continuous training only..
If you are playing FPS games u will know about that.. At starting u will take lots of time for responding.. But as time u play daily ur response time increases also ur aiming.. But there is a limit for that.. If we train like that it will take year.. I used to play other game like dance mela, guitar hero, etc at 10x speed.. we cudn't get even a millisecond to respond and act.. But after training in such games when I play warrock it feel like i am playing a slow motion game.. Becuz my brain is adjusted to 10x speed of warrock..

I forgot I was talking about god.. God is not powerful but faith is.. You can achieve anything if ur faith is 100% and 100% self confidence..
If you don't believe in god then no use of praying.. It is not god who came and bless u.. Its u only..
We are power inside us which we dunno about.. Faith is only way to access that power..
We are just like a doll.. What we doing and going to do are all programmed... But we can reprogram it using faith..
Doesn't matter whatever god or thing u believe in.. Just have 100% faith in it.. Success time depend on power of faith u.. 1 sec - 100 years..

I will tell my own story for eg..
At night I used to play a solo game with playing cards.. It is just taking a card without looking and guessing it..
At first I could guess any thing correctly..
I repeated this every night..
After a week I could manage to guess correct color (red/black) more frequently.. It is 1/2 chance..
After a month I could manage to guess the type(club,diamond,heart,spade) more frequent.. it is 1/4 chance..
After some months I manage to guess value of card(Ace-King) more frequent.. it is 1/13 chance..
And even later I managed to guess correct card itself even though less frequent.. 1/52 change..

That time in our class we had a surprise database test conducted by IBM.. No one were prepared for tht test.. All were objective questions with 5 choices.. There were 50 questions.. I managed to answer 45 question just before time over.. Teacher was collecting papers.. So I randomly answer last 15 questions without even reading question.. I was surprised when result came.. I was one of two ppl who passed tht exam.. I got answer sheet.. All the last 15 questions I answer randomly were correct..
It is just becuz of my luck training..

It is one incident in my life.. I have many but will take long if I explain it all..

If we train we can attain anything..

I respect all religions and gods.. There is a reason which they made for.. It is the easiest way for a common person to reach GOD.. Saying god doesn't exist is stupid.. It is just killing the power inside u..

well i think there is nobody above God....he is the ultimate power....

he created the universe and he holds the power of destroying it also.....

when he destroys the universe then where will be science left

The concept of god and the presence of super powers was started by man. But man was a part of this universe which came into being as a result of the BIg Bang . What was the force ehich bought about the big bang ? It must have been an external force which was most lkely God.

By the way this topic shud be posted under some other category as it doesnt really have anything to do with politics.

Its a chicken and egg like situation..Science made God or God made science.
God works on rules of science or science works on rules of God.
This is a really confusing issue.

I think God himself is the Grand Unification Theory(the theory from which all the things can be derived) and I think this is very similar to kareena's arguments about scholars.

So if God is a theory and he combines all branches of science then he must be the toughest to understand and we will need a higher level of intellect to realize this.

Bigbang is just a theory said by scientists how this universe might have created.. It has nothing to do with religion or anything like God which normal ppl worship.. If you mean GOD as just a power/energy then I can agree..

God is everywhere = God inside urs
So what are the use of temples and churches.. The atmosphere of such places are so nice to get us more concentration..

In ancient india, many people used to do severe meditation(thapasya) and they gain powers. Does it mean they became gods or god came in front of them and blessed them.. Its nothing like that.. They are just awaking sleeping power inside them..
If we talk scientific, I couldn't give answer for that becuz science is not that developed..

But the problem with this power is that it is not as effective to others like it work for ourselves.. If you want a good thing to happen then u will have to try for tht..

I had a gift tht I could predict loadshedding.. Funny isn't it.. It mean if I say there will be loadshedding at a specific time then it will happen at tht time.. I could also predict when will it comes back..
It was not just a prediction.. Becuz my bro dont allow me to watch my fav programs and when such things happen I wish to have loadshedding within 1 min and it happens.. So he was afraid of me..
I told these things one of my friend too.. she didnt believed me and asked me to prove it.. I told there will be loadshedding on 5.17pm and it happened exactly on tht time..
I dunno how it happens but I jst trying to figure out power behind such things...
I dont think it is related to any religions or gods which humans created.. Becuz I have read gita,bible and quran and I respect all relgions but doesn't believe in tht..
But there is some super science behind tht..

I believe that God is that source of energy which was responsible for the bigbang.
we all know that the the universe once existed as a very small particle which was caused to explode & expand due to a huge unknown force.

I believe this force to be god.

These are my views about god.as far as I am concerned God has no physical existence but exists as energy.
